J. P. GAGE UNION HALL
86-88 Main Avenue
J. P. Gage Union Hall was built in 1861. This 3-story brick building is an example of early Italianate Style and except for the ground floor storefronts, it has retained most of its significant architectural features. Frank L. Holleran started his law practice in 1891 in the J. P. Gage building. During 1917, there were "Lyons Commercial Club Rooms" in the Gage Building. The Red Cross Society used those rooms for a "surgical dressing course" and every girl and woman in the city were invited to "do their bit.”
This building is currently for sale and the property must be sold with 90 Main Avenue.
