ARMSTRONG BUILDING

The C.E. Armstrong & Sons three-story brick building was built in 1898. The architect was Josiah L. Rice and he designed the building in the Romanesque Revival style. It was originally the Moeszinger-Marquis Hardware Company. In 1932, C. E. Armstrong & Sons Hardware moved into the building. They were a wholesaler of hardware, plumbing, heating and mill supplies. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. This building is now the Armstrong Apartments and has income restrictions.
