EAGLE POINT PARK LODGE

3923 North 3rd Street

In 1934, the Work Progress Administration funds were given by the federal government to states in order to put people to work during the depression. $3 milliion in WPA funds went to beautify Eagle Point Park and the workman built the lodge around the original shelter built around 1907. The program ended in 1943 due to unemployment dropping before and during WWII. The lodge fell into disrepair over time and in 2016 a renovation project by the Rotary Club of Clinton addressed the interior and exterior needs of the Lodge. The Grand Opening held for the lodge was held Tuesday, June 28, 2016. The renovations provided Clinton residents with a new meeting space & rental facility after the complete overhaul of the main floor, foundation repairs, and septic services.
